The roots of Shatavari or Asparagus racemosus have galactagogue, antispasmodic, appetizer, cooling, tonic and aphrodisiac properties.

Asparagus is an herb that regulates hormonal secretion. Shatavari acts as a galactagogue and is useful in lactation failure - it promotes lactation.

Shatavari Kalp must be had when a lady is experiencing :
1) Reduced breast milk secretion
2) Menopausal and post-menopausal symptoms

About two spoons of Shatavari Powder must be mixed with warm milk and had daily at night before sleeping.
